The small print, kept kind

Privacy policy

How I collect, use and look after your personal information.

Last updated: 8 July 2026

Who I am

I’m Grace, trading as The Bramble Hollow, an independent florist and gift shop in Bakewell, Derbyshire. For UK data protection law, I am the data controller for the personal information described here.

Shop: Unit 9 Granby Arcade, Water Street, Bakewell DE45 1EW
Website: thebramblehollow.co.uk
Email: thebramblehollow@gmail.com

What this website collects

Very little, and nothing behind your back. There are no accounts and no online payments on this site. Three things can involve your data:

  • The enquiry form (only what you type in). Your name, email address, the occasion, roughly when, and your message. More on where that goes below.
  • Analytics (only if you say yes).If you accept on the cookie banner, Microsoft Clarity records how the site is used: pages visited, clicks and scrolling, and general device and browser information. It helps me see what’s useful and what’s confusing. It is never used for advertising, and it does not run at all if you decline.
  • Server logs. Like almost every website, the server that hosts this site keeps short-term technical logs (including IP addresses) for security and to keep the site running properly.

When you send an enquiry

The enquiry form is looked after by Orchestrix, who built and host this website for me. When you press send, your enquiry travels through their form service, which keeps a secure copy and emails it straight to my inbox so I can reply to you. The form also has a hidden field that only automated spam fills in, which quietly keeps the bots out. Your details are used to answer your enquiry and arrange your flowers, and for nothing else.

If the form ever can’t reach that service, your own email app opens instead with the message ready to send to me directly, so nothing you’ve written is lost.

Cookies

The only cookies this site sets are Microsoft Clarity’s analytics cookies, and only after you accept them:

NameSet byPurposeLasts
_clckMicrosoft ClarityRecognises your browser across visitsUp to 1 year
_clskMicrosoft ClarityJoins the pages of one visit together1 day
CLIDMicrosoft ClarityIdentifies the first time Clarity saw this browserUp to 1 year

Your choice itself is remembered in your browser’s local storage (not a cookie), so the banner doesn’t ask you on every page. You can change your mind at any time using the link, which also lives in the footer of every page, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

If you become a customer

When we work together, whether that’s a bouquet, a wedding or a workshop, I keep what I need to do the job well: your contact details, our conversations, and the details of your order. I use this information only to:

  • Reply to your enquiry and talk through what you’d like
  • Plan, make and deliver your flowers or run your workshop
  • Keep basic business and accounting records

My lawful bases are: contract(providing what you’ve asked for), legitimate interests (responding to enquiries and running my shop), legal obligation (tax and accounting records) and consent (the analytics cookies). You can withdraw consent at any time.

Who I share information with

I never sell your information. I share it only with:

  • Service providers who make things run: Orchestrix (who host this website and the enquiry-form service), my email provider, and Microsoft Clarity (analytics, only with your consent)
  • Professional advisers such as an accountant, where needed
  • Authorities, if the law requires it

If you follow the Instagram or Facebook links on this site, those platforms handle your data under their own privacy policies. Microsoft may process analytics data outside the UK; where it does, it relies on recognised safeguards such as the UK’s data bridge and standard contractual clauses.

How long I keep things

  • General enquiries: up to 12 months
  • Customer and order records: up to 6 years, in line with legal and tax requirements
  • Analytics data: according to Microsoft Clarity’s retention settings

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how I use it, and withdraw any consent you’ve given. Just email me at thebramblehollow@gmail.com. I may need to confirm your identity first.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, please contact me first so I can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk, telephone 0303 123 1113.
